According to a statement from Alanya Municipality, three exhibitions will be on display for art lovers at the 5th International Alanya Tropical Fruit Festival on 9, 10 and 11 October. The exhibitions will bring together works reflecting Alanya’s nature and history, as well as pieces created by transforming waste into art.
The exhibition titled ‘From Cocoon to Nature: Alanya’s Endemic Heritage’ will explore nature’s heritage. The exhibition ‘Once Upon a Time in Alanya: Black and White in the Banana Plantations’, meanwhile, will focus on the city’s past through black-and-white photographs taken in the banana plantations.
The third exhibition in the festival programme, “Independent Art Movement: Upcycling”, will showcase original artworks created using waste materials.
