Bribery investigation into Mustafa Erdem, Member of Parliament for Antalya for the New Party

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation on its own initiative into Mustafa Erdem, an MP for the New Party in Antalya, on charges of bribery. According to a statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, evidence obtained during the investigation conducted by the Bureau of Investigations into Smuggling, Narcotics and Economic Crimes has been examined. Following this examination, an investigation was opened against Erdem. The background to this process involves the examination of digital materials belonging to Arda Birinci, who was detained during the fourth wave of a drug and prostitution investigation being carried out in Ankara.
