In the Dinek Mahallesi area of Alanya, a motorcyclist who failed to comply with a police officer’s order to ‘stop’ at a checkpoint began to flee. The motorbike, which was being pursued by the police, lost control during the chase and crashed into the rear of an Alanya Private Public Bus that was dropping off passengers at a bus stop.
The collision caused damage to both the motorbike and the bus. Passengers waiting at the bus stop panicked during the incident.
Following the accident, the rider was apprehended by police. According to the officers’ findings, the motorbike had no number plate, its roadworthiness test had expired and it was not covered by comprehensive insurance.
Legal and administrative proceedings have been initiated against the rider in connection with the incident.
