The fire started for an as-yet-undetermined reason in a grassy area of Kargıcak, close to residential areas and a forested zone.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the area due to the risk of the flames spreading beyond the initial site. Ground operations are being supported from the air to prevent the fire from reaching nearby homes and forested land.
Firefighting efforts are continuing, and there has been no confirmed announcement so far that the blaze has been brought under control.
