Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University has taken a new step in its international research and innovation efforts. Following the approval of an application led by the Rafet Kayış Faculty of Engineering, the university officially joined the BIN@ network.

What is BIN@?

The Business & Innovation Network (BIN@) is an international collaboration network that brings together universities, research institutions, companies, investors, and other stakeholders in the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. The network aims to support open innovation, promote the sharing of knowledge and experience, and encourage the development of joint projects among institutions from different countries.

Coordinated by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto, BIN@ has been operating since 2010 to strengthen collaboration among universities, research institutions, companies, investors, and organizations within the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Its main areas of focus include open innovation, knowledge sharing, and the development of collaborative projects involving institutions from different countries.

Through its membership, ALKÜ aims to establish new international connections in the fields of research, entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology transfer. The university also aims to increase the participation of its academics and students in international collaborations, develop joint R&D projects, and support interdisciplinary studies.

The BIN@ network was established through the initiative of the universities of Porto, Sheffield, and São Paulo. According to the network’s own data, it has an international community of approximately 6,000 participants from various countries.

ALKÜ stated that it is the first state university in Türkiye to join the BIN@ network. The university expects the membership to contribute to its internationalization efforts and strengthen its research collaborations.
