Tourism figures for the first eight months of 2026 show that Antalya remained below last year’s visitor levels. The downward trend continued in August, when foreign arrivals fell by 1.7% year-on-year.
Russia remained Antalya’s largest source market, with approximately 2.67 million visitors recorded during the January-August period. Germany ranked second, contributing around 2.08 million visitors.
Together, the two countries continued to account for a significant share of Antalya’s international tourism market.
The figures provide an important indication of the broader tourism trend across Antalya, including Alanya, one of the province’s major holiday destinations. However, the published data covers Antalya province as a whole and does not provide separate figures for Alanya’s visitor numbers, hotel occupancy rates or tourism revenues.
For this reason, the province-wide 5.8% decline should not be interpreted as evidence that tourism activity or business performance in Alanya decreased at the same rate
