Corendon Alanyaspor made a flying start to the match at Esenyurt Necmi Kadıoğlu Stadium. The Orange-Greens took a 1-0 lead after just 25 seconds through Arda Usluoğlu.
Eyüpspor equalised in the 39th minute when Abdullahi scored from approximately 35 metres out, sending the teams into half-time level at 1-1.
Both sides pushed for the winning goal in the second half, but the decisive moment came in stoppage time. Following a free kick taken by Giordano in the 90+4th minute, Jules headed the ball into the net to give Eyüpspor a 2-1 victory and all three points.
The result leaves Corendon Alanyaspor on four points.
Alanyaspor head coach João Pereira recalled that, following his side’s early goal, Hwang also had a goal disallowed. He said his team made some simple mistakes in possession and misplaced passes.
The Portuguese coach said the changes made at half-time had a positive impact and that Alanyaspor created chances in the second half. However, he described conceding from a set piece in the final minutes as particularly disappointing.
Pereira also commented on the condition of the pitch. Pointing out that a lower-division match had been played at the same stadium just one day earlier, he said better playing conditions should be provided at Süper Lig level.
