A unique event is to be held in Alanya to mark the 800th anniversary of the Red Tower (Kızılkule). The free gathering, which will take place at sunrise, will feature yoga, meditation and sound sessions accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls and gongs.

The Red Tower (Kızılkule), one of Alanya’s iconic landmarks, will host a special event to coincide with sunrise on Saturday 17 October. The “Roots to Roots” event, organised as part of Erasmus Days, will begin at 07.00 and continue until 08.30.

YOGA AT SUNRISE AT KIZILKULE

The programme, specially prepared to mark the 800th anniversary of the Red Tower (Kızılkule), will feature yoga and somatic movement exercises, as well as meditation. Sound sessions using Tibetan singing bowls and a gong will also take place during the event.

The programme aims to bring together nature, body awareness and meditation in a historic setting.

FREE ADMISSION

According to the programme published by the organisers, the event is open to the public and there is no charge to attend.

Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and to bring a yoga mat or blanket with them.

TO BE HELD ON THE MORNING OF 17 OCTOBER

The event, to be held at the Red Tower (Kızılkule), will begin at 07.00 on Saturday 17 October and will last approximately 1.5 hours.

Open to both residents of Alanya and foreigners present in the city, the event is for anyone wishing to experience the sunrise at the historic Red Tower (Kızılkule) in a unique way.
