K.S., aged 15, who was seriously injured in a workplace accident at an excavation site in the Kahyalar neighbourhood of Gazipaşa, was transferred to Alanya Training and Research Hospital in a life-threatening condition. The accident, which occurred during excavation work, took place at around 11.00.
It is understood that K.S., who was working as an oiler on the construction machinery operated by M.K., had his head trapped between the machine’s boom and the cutting blade. The boy sustained serious injuries as a result.
Following reports from bystanders, medical and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. After initial treatment by the medical teams, K.S. was taken by ambulance to Gazipaşa State Hospital. Following examinations there, the boy was transferred to Alanya Training and Research Hospital.
The Gendarmerie has launched a comprehensive investigation into the accident.
