It has been established that Yasin Erdem Bayır lost his life in the evening in the İnceğiz neighbourhood of Gazipaşa; the Gendarmerie has launched an investigation to determine the cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident. Bayır’s body, found near a fire pond, was found to have cuts in various places.
Local residents noticed a person lying motionless on the ground covered in blood and reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Centre. As a result, medical and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the address.
Medical staff confirmed that Bayır had died. It was established that Bayır was registered as a resident of Alanya.
Gendarmerie teams carried out a detailed investigation whilst implementing security measures around the scene. It was reported that, as yet, no one has claimed responsibility for the death, and the investigation is ongoing.
