At the 8th International GastroAfyon Tourism and Gastronomy Festival in Afyonkarahisar, the 257-metre-long “World’s Largest Anatolian Banquet Table”, prepared using nearly a thousand dishes brought from 81 provinces, was entered into the Guinness World Records. Over 20 regional specialities from various districts of Antalya were also presented to visitors at the record-breaking table.

As part of the festival, regional specialities brought from all corners of Turkey were displayed on a single table. During the official record attempt, observers examined the table to ensure it met the Guinness World Records criteria.

Local specialities from Antalya’s districts were on display

The table set up for Antalya featured Korkuteli skewered meatballs, Antalya piyazı, İbradı chestnuts, Demre blue crab and Ernez honey. Alanya-style pistachio lemonade and Manavgat bay leaves were also among the city’s products featured in the record attempt.

The table, which featured a total of more than 20 Antalya products, was presented to festival visitors. At the end of the event, it was announced that the 257-metre-long ‘Anatolian Table’ had been entered into the Guinness World Records.
